There was a lot of new features dished out of WWDC for the upcoming iOS 5. We have asked for many of these features. For instance....
No more popups! We welcome the all new Notification Center with open arms.
Safari has also been revamped and will be able to be synced to all iOS devices as well as OSX Lion. Safari will now have real tabs instead of the old thumbnail view.
Reminders app, finally a genuine to-do list app that will be synced between all iOS 5 devices and OSX desktop/laptop. Reminders is also location aware. For example you can create a to-do list that will pop up when you enter your local grocery store and will include your shopping list. Quite nice!
Camera App gets a much needed upgrade as well. No longer is the app just a viewfinder, it now will include basic photo editing including sharpening, shadows, highlights, color correction, etc. Now on the lock screen there will also be a camera button that will enable you to quickly get to the camera app without losing the moment. Apple has finally also allowed the ability to use one of the volume buttons to be used as the shutter button. No more fishing for the touch based version!
Twitter integration everywhere in iOS 5. Tweet till your hearts contend.
Newstand basically iBooks for newspapers and magazines.
New Mail app. You have to admit the mail app sucks, even after the upgraded in iOS 4. In iOS 5 rich text formatting, indentation control, draggable email addresses all make an appearance. We shall see how that works.
You no longer need to be tethered to a PC. With iOS 5, users can open the box and start using their device right away. You can sync music via iCloud and never need a desktop or laptop again for your iPhone/iTouch/iPad needed. Very nice.
iMessage which will closely resemble BBM from the Blackberry world. iMessage will work on all iOS 5 devices and allows users to leave a conversation on one device and pick it up on another. Problem with this is it's Apple only.
Other big updates include personal dictionary, customizable vibration alert, iTunes Wi-Fi sync, advanced gestures, Emoji, LED Flash on incoming calls and alerts, hourly weather forecasts, etc.
Check out the replay of the WWDC keynote 2011 for even more updates on iOS 5, OS X Lion and iCloud.

Founded over 9 years ago by two gamers that were born with a controller in their hand, we have come to realize that there are no gaming websites that take this approach. We give you the World-Gaming Network, your friend in the business.
